What is the difference between internal and external gear pumps?

External gear pumps use two external gears and are generally cheaper and used for higher pressures. Internal gear pumps are quieter and smoother, often used for lubrication and lower pressure applications.

Yes, gear pumps are excellent for pumping high viscosity fluids like oil, paints, and resins. We can recommend the right pump parameters for your specific fluid.

Most standard gear pumps are uni-directional. However, we supply bi-directional gear pumps designed specifically to operate in both directions.

What pressure rating do your pumps have?

Our standard aluminum pumps are rated up to 250 bar, while our cast iron series can handle pressures up to 300 bar for heavy-duty applications.

What is the difference between Gerotor and Geroler?

Geroler motors use rollers in the outer gear ring to reduce friction, offering higher efficiency, smoother operation at low speeds, and longer life compared to standard Gerotor designs.

Motors connected in series or subject to high back pressure require a case drain to protect the shaft seal. However, many of our motors have high-pressure shaft seals that can handle moderate back pressure without a drain line.

Depending on the series and displacement, our large orbital motors can deliver torque exceeding 1,000 Nm.

Can they be used for wheel drives?

Yes, we offer wheel-mount motors with recessed mounting flanges allowing the wheel hub to be mounted partly inside the motor, saving space.
